The Cameraman Registry is a local creators community project that I started with the goal of connecting freelance, small business, or entrepreneurial photographers, videographers, cinematographers, content creators, and post-production editors.
The idea is simple - a database (registry) of creators that want to connect with other creators and potential clients that would require their services. Each creator would have a profile they would fill out, listing their skill sets, type of work they do, if they specialize in a particular area or genre, and so on.
Members would also be encouraged to participate in our members-only forums where they can discuss jobs; collaborate with other creators on jobs; discuss problems or issues; ask questions about equipment, gear, and so on. Creator profiles would also have a brief bio about the creator, their asking rates for services, and a "Hire Me" button putting potential clients in touch to arrange jobs.
